The $150,000 Marshua’s River – a Grade 3 stakes event – kicks off the late pick four January 10 at Gulfstream Park as a strong field of ten fillies and mares are set to contest the mile and one sixteenth event on the turf. 
On Saturday at Gulfstream Park, the featured race is the 10th edition of the $100,000 Dania Beach Stakes. The Grade 3 race is scheduled to be run at seven and a half furlongs on the turf and has drawn a field of ten sophomore colts and geldings. 
The $75,000 Valley Forge is the second of two stakes races on the December 30 card at Parx, featuring a field of ten set to travel seven furlongs on the main track. 
On Saturday at Santa Anita, two-year-olds will take to the turf in the 20th running of the $75,000 Eddie Logan Stakes. Run at one mile on the turf course, the race has drawn a full field of thirteen colts and geldings with one additional listed as an also-eligible. 
On Saturday at Turfway Park, the featured race is the 20th edition of the $60,000 Prairie Bayou Stakes. Scheduled to be run at a mile and a sixteenth on their synthetic main track, the race has drawn a field of eleven. 
Friday action at Fair Grounds features a lone stakes event – the $50,000 Buddy Diliberto Memorial Stakes – for older horses going a mile and one sixteenth on the grass. 
On Sunday at Aqueduct, the featured race is the 36th running of the $100,000 Damon Runyon Stakes. Restricted to two-year-olds foaled in New York, the mile and seventy yard race has drawn a full field of twelve colts and geldings. 
The $110,000 Glass Slipper is one of the more intriguing betting races on the opening day Claiming Crown card December 6 at Gulfstream.
