The Charles Town Classic may only be a grade 2 race, but with $1.25 million on the line in purse money, the mile and an eighth event has attracted a top field of 11 April 23 in a great betting race. 
Trainer Chad Brown holds a pair of aces in the Grade 2 Gazelle Stakes April 9 at Aqueduct where the high profile trainer will saddle the morning line favorite and second choice in the mile and an eighth race for three year-old fillies. 
Named for one of the most successful Louisiana-bred horses of all-time, the $60,000 Star Guitar Stakes is the first of nine stakes races on the card March 26 at Fair Grounds as a field of six state-breds will contest the mile and one sixteenth event on the main track. 
The $400,000, Grade 1 Frank E. Kilroe Mile is one of several intriguing graded stakes races March 12 at Santa Anita on the undercard of the Santa Anita Handicap. 
Fittingly enough, the Valentine’s Day feature at Santa Anita Park is the $75,000 Sweet Life Stakes – a race for three year old fillies carded at six and half furlongs on the downhill turf course. 
The $75,000 Clocker's Corner Stakes January 24 at Santa Anita features a field of ten set to contest the six and a half furlong downhill turf event. 
The Grade 3, $100,000 Old Hat – one of five stakes races on the January 2 card at Gulfstream – features a field of six newly-turned three year-old fillies set to contest the six furlong sprint on the main track. 
Like many of the races on the December 5 Claiming Crown card at Gulfstream Park, the $110,000 Rapid Transit shapes up to be an excellent betting race with 11 former sellers set to tackle seven furlongs on the main track. 
Aside from the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, the Grade 3, $1 Million Delta Jackpot is the richest race for two year-olds in the United States. The 2015 renewal features a field of ten set to contest the mile and one sixteenth event at Delta Downs Saturday, November 21.
