Don’t Leave Me headlines the competitive field as the morning line favorite at 3-1 odds for trainer Malcolm Pierce. Bred and owned by Pin Oak Stable, the gray daughter of Lemon Drop Kid has won three of her five career starts and has won on both turf and synthetics. She was last seen finishing second by a head as the favorite in the Selene Stakes (G3) at Woodbine. Javier Castellano will be aboard for the first time and they will break from the inside post.
Lady Zuzu trying to earn first black type victory
Second choice at 7-2 on the morning line is Lady Zuzu for trainer D. Wayne Lukas. A dark bay daughter of Dynaformer purchased for $1.22 million as a yearling, she has been on the board in four of her seven starts and has one win to her credit. She will be trying to earn the first stakes victory of her career and has been third in her two recent starts. Robbie Albarado will be in the irons and they will break from post three.
Cristina's Journey switching to turf for the first time
Also in the field at morning line odds of 8-1 is Cristina’s Journey for trainer Dale Romans. A bay daughter of Any Given Saturday, she has won two of her five starts and was a stakes winning juvenile. After racing on dirt in all five starts, she will switch surfaces and try the grass for the first time and has been on the shelf since finishing sixth in the Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2). Miguel Mena will be back aboard and they will break from post five.
